Directions

 

From airport to YMCA

(1)  Airport shuttle: ~$30 each, ~1 hour.  Ask at the information desk or follow signs to the shuttle queue outside.

(2)  Bay Area Rapid Transit (http://www.bart.gov/) train ~6$ each, ~1 hour.  Follow signs inside the airport to the BART terminal.  Take Dublin/Pleasanton train.  At Balboa Park, transfer to Pittsburg/Bay Point train.  At 12th St. Oakland City Center, transfer to Richmond train.  Get off at Downtown Berkeley.  On April 10 and April 18, Dublin/Pleasanton trains depart the airport at 4:38pm, 4:53hm, 5:08pm, 5:23pm, 5:38pm, 5:52pm, 6:07pm, 6:22pm, 6:37pm, 6:52pm, 7:16pm, É

 

From BART station to YMCA

The YMCA (http://www.baymca.org/index.php/downtown.html) is at 2001 Allston Way in downtown Berkeley.  It has a shared kitchen, internet access, and a gym and swimming pool.  The Y is 2 blocks from BART; see map below.

 

From YMCA to physics department

Campus is 3 blocks from the YMCA.  The department is in 3 connected buildings: LeConte, Old LeConte, and Birge.  My office is at Old LeConte 300 but you need to enter through LeConte or Birge.  15 minute walk from YMCA; see map below.
